A Retreat for Latina Women Entrepreneurs- August 16-18, 2024
NowUs Foundation is a nonprofit organization in Long Beach, California that was founded by a diverse group of individuals to empower underserved women entrepreneurs, providing access to education, mentorship, and financial support. EmpowerHer Journey was the first in our series of annual retreats that are inspired by women’s unique power to transform their lives, their families, and their communities.
About the Retreat
EmpowerHer Journey is an annual retreat designed exclusively for Latina women entrepreneurs ready to elevate their leadership skills and embrace their unique power. Set against the serene backdrop of Hacienda Saucedo in Frazier Park, California, this retreat is a sanctuary where participants can reflect, recharge, and rise to new heights in their personal and professional development with an impactful experience of growth, connection, and empowerment that is tailored to their culturally specific needs.
What to Expect
EmpowerHer Journey retreat focuses on three core areas:
Healing Your Story: We all carry stories that shape who we are and how we lead. In this session, participants will learn to embrace their pasts, heal from traumatic experiences, and use their individual narratives as a source of strength and inspiration.
Empowerment Through Responsibility: True empowerment comes from taking responsibility for our lives and decisions. This session will guide participants in stepping into their power with confidence, making choices that align with core values, and leading with purpose.
Projecting Your Power: Leadership is not just about having power; it's about using it effectively and authentically. In this session, participants will develop strategies to communicate vision, inspire others, and lead with impact in community and business.
Following the retreat, each participant will be offered weekly follow-up sessions with one of our mentors to reinforce the material.
Meet the Facilitator
Eugenia Quezada is the EmpowerHer Journey retreat facilitator. Eugenia has mastered the art of personal transformation, using techniques such as NLP, Neuroscience, Numerology, Kamak Reprogramming System, Quantum Bioengineering, Thanatology, Buddhist Psychology, and Meditation. Her dedication to empowering women is evident in her work and her generous sponsorship of this retreat. Eugenia’s guidance is instrumental in helping participants unlock their full potential and step into their power as leaders.

The Selection Process
EmpowerHer Journey is designed to be an intimate and impactful experience, with only seven spots available. To ensure that each participant is fully invested and ready to make the most of this opportunity, we've implemented a thoughtful selection process:
Nomination: Participants are nominated by a mentor who recognizes their potential and readiness for growth.
Application: Nominees submit an application detailing their goals and aspirations.
Evaluation: Applications are reviewed by our sponsors Eugenia Quezada, Veronica Alcaraz and Sravani Patel, who carefully select candidates based on their commitment to personal and professional development.
Interview: Selected candidates participate in a 30-minute interview to discuss their vision and what they hope to gain from the retreat.
Final Selection: Only seven women will be chosen to attend the retreat, ensuring a personalized and transformative experience for each participant.
